Today is Kidd's Kids Day.
About Kidd's Kids:
"KIDD'S KIDS is a non-profit organization that strives to make a difference in the lives of children with special medical needs.
Founded in 1990 by nationally syndicated radio personality Kidd Kraddick, Kidd's Kids sponsors annual trips to Florida’s Walt Disney World® for children between the ages of 5 and 12 who suffer from a chronic or terminal illness, are physically challenged or have a catastrophic impairment due to an injury or accident. The children selected for the Kidd's Kids trip must also demonstrate financial need.
During the four-day trip - which takes place in November - these special kids and their families enjoy all the excitement that a Walt Disney World/Kidd's Kids getaway can offer. For many families with terminally ill or physically challenged children, this is a rare opportunity to get outside of hospital and treatment centers and share laughter and fun in a magical environment.
Kidd's Kids covers all expenses, which include: airfare, hotel, park passes, all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), transportation to and from the airport while in Florida and selected souvenirs. The kids are also treated to a special breakfast featuring appearances by Disney characters and a live broadcast with Kidd Kraddick on his nationally-syndicated radio show, Kidd Kraddick in the Morning."
